Peer Review Process

Lex Muamalat applies a rigorous peer review process to ensure originality, legal relevance, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and scholarly contribution. Manuscripts are reviewed after passing editorial screening and plagiarism screening.

Review Model

The journal uses a double-blind peer review model. Author and reviewer identities are kept confidential during the review process. Each manuscript that passes initial screening is normally reviewed by at least two reviewers with relevant expertise.

Review Stages
1. Editorial Screening
Checks scope, format, originality, ethics, and metadata.
2. Reviewer Assignment
Reviewers are selected based on expertise and independence.
3. Scholarly Evaluation
Reviewers assess legal reasoning, method, analysis, and contribution.
4. Editorial Decision
The editor decides based on reviewers’ recommendations and journal standards.
Editorial Independence

Review outcomes and editorial decisions are independent from publication fees, institutional interests, or personal relationships.
